      Prereq: Geol 101 or 211

      This course examines the impact and risk of geologic hazards on human activities,
      such as earthquakes, landslides, volcanic eruptions, and floods. The course also
      studies the impact of humans on the Earth system, such as groundwater and
      groundwater contamination, solid waste and hazardous waste storage, and air pollution.
