Hey guys,
I'm checking back, post field camp. We got approval to fill this entry-level engineering geologist position (nonpermanent), based here in Olympia, and are interested in filling this soon. Minimum qualifications are a BS in geology (or equivalent) and a WA driver's license.
Interested individuals should send a letter of introduction and a resume to Marc Fish (FishM at wsdot.wa.gov<mailto:FishM at wsdot.wa.gov> ) and me.
We'd appreciate your assistance in distributing this to individuals who you think would be successful in the position.
Tom

Happy end of quarter/year to you all,
I hope life's going well.
As I'm especially fond of Western's program, I'm checking first with you about new/recent graduates who might be looking for work and are passionate about engineering geology. We don't yet have approval, but I am anticipating that we will shortly be looking for an entry-level engineering geologist. It will likely be a nonpermanent position (up to 1 year appointment), with the possibility of having a permanent position in the not-too-distant future. Minimum requirements would be a BS in geology/engineering geology/geological engineering and field camp, with desired coursework in engineering geology, hydrogeology, slope stability. Excellent communication and field skills, along with a strong desire to learn, would be high on the list of desirable attributes. A resume, a writing example, and an introduction would be welcome from those individuals you think might be a good fit.
Thanks for all you do.
