Subject: Now hiring 4 geology/geophysicist positions at the Washington Geological Survey
Hello all,
The Washington Geological Survey, DNR, is hiring 4 project positions for a project we are working on to conduct geologic site assessments (Vs30 measurements, GPR, and geologic investigation) to calculate site class and design value at public schools across Washington state. This is part of a capital budget funded school seismic safety project where geologists/geophysicists will be working with a team of structural engineers to assess the seismic hazard at select schools. We are looking for talented geologists/geophysicists who have experience with seismographs, GPR, and other geophysical methods.
There are four positions available:
1.)Project lead, NRSci 3, this position starts April/May and lasts until June 30, 2019, with the potential to continue if funding continues:

2.) Project scientist, NRSci 2, this position starts April/May and lasts until June 30, 2019, with the potential to continue if funding continues:

3 and 4) 2 scientific technicians to assist scientists in the field during field season. These are 4 month positions ideally starting in May and going through the end of August:
