[Geolalumni] Structural Geology and Tectonics Forum- June 24-27 at WWU

Hello GeoAlums,
I am writing to announce and invite your participation in an exciting event that we're hosting here at WWU- the 7th biennial Structural Geology and Tectonics Forum. This is a grass-roots effort to hold informal meetings, in different regions of the country, to discuss current research, teaching, and other aspects of the broad field of structural geology and tectonics. Former WWU (and current UW) faculty member Juliet Crider, and I, are the organizing chairs, and we've been working to get this meeting off the ground for the past few months.

The meeting will be on the WWU campus, June 24-27, and will include several field trips, three workshops, and lots of research presentations, posters, discussions, and career development activities.

Registration and Abstract submissions both close on May 31, 2024. Registration and abstracts are free, and dorm-cafeteria meals can be provided, all thanks to generous support from the National Science Foundation for this meeting.
