The Wyoming State Geological Survey is excited to announce a new position opening for a 3D mapping Geologist.

https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/wyoming/jobs/4550405/natural-resources-program-principal-2024-01227

We're seeking an inquisitive (and maybe a little tech-obsessed) geologist to join our team. Multiuse of the subsurface is a rising challenge in earth sciences-now is the time to ensure that subsurface carbon sequestration, groundwater, oil and gas development, geothermal energy, enhanced oil recovery, and hydrogen storage are working together for cooperative and safe use of pore space. You'll use your skills to crack the code on Wyoming's unique subsurface environment, contributing to critical studies of our state's valuable resources.

What we're looking for:

  * Bachelor's degree in Geology or a closely related field (master's degree preferred)
  * Experience in 3D geological mapping/modeling, data analysis, and geologic software is essential
  * Familiarity with Wyoming's geology and natural resources is a strong plus
  * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  * Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  * Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

Thank you for taking the time to look this over and share with any potential candidates.
