I'd like to bring to your attention an upcoming employment opportunity with the USGS for a Masters-level (GS-9) geologist position at our Moffett Field, California (San Francisco Bay area) office. We are looking to fill one and maybe two positions in our landslide
research group. We seek applicants with skills in GIS, GPS, remote sensing (satellite and aerial imagery, drone-based structure-from-motion), and landslide inventory mapping. We are also seeking experience with satellite or preferably ground-based radar
(InSAR) data collection and analysis. These skillsets are expected to be applied to a number of landslide-hazard related projects in California and other western states, including mapping and disseminating landslide inventory data, analyzing spatial and topical
