Hi all,
This is an invitation to come hear about some of the wonderful senior thesis research that has been going on in the department recently. This week we have three undergraduates who will be presenting their senior thesis research. Please note the non-traditions time/place for the first talk!
1. Thursday, 12/4, 12:00 in ES 223: Lauren Forbes presents on "Cathodoluminescence and Trace Element Geochemistry of Muzo, Colombian Emeralds" (advisor Brian Rusk)
2. Friday, 12/5, 12:00 in CF 125: Emma Myers presents on "Undergraduate Research Experiences: Alaskan Avalanches & Antarctic Earthquakes" (advisor Jackie Caplan-Auerbach, plus others at Colorado State University/USGS)
3. Friday, 12/5, 12:00 in CF 125: Adam Hawkins presents on "Evolution of the Deming Claybanks Landslide Complex and its Sediment Contribution to the Nooksack River" (advisor Scott Linneman).
Please come join us to hear about these projects and to celebrate the research accomplishments of our students.
