Hi all,

Please join us Tuesday afternoon (4:00 pm (location TBD) for an invited talk by Pat McCandless, vice president of Imperial Metals. Pat has been associated with the mining industry for over 40 years and is particularly passionate about mentoring new geoscientists as they prepare their careers, whether in mining or another geoscience discipline. His talk is entitled, "A Career in Geoscience: Getting Discovered," which focuses on this type of mentoring. Pat visited a few years ago to rave reviews from students and faculty, and the Student Chapter of the Society of Economic Geologists has brought him back. Please join us!

We hope to see you there,

Pete
