Dear Colleagues,

The Office of Admissions is seeking dedicated and outgoing student 
leaders to join the Student Admissions Representative team and we need 
your help spreading the word!

Student Admissions Representatives (StARs) serve as ambassadors for the 
University to prospective students, their families, and other guests of 
WWU.  They will share their Western experience through a variety of 
capacities including campus tours and other outreach and recruitment 
programs like Discovery Days , Western Fall Welcome, Western Preview, 
and personalized outreach.  Students also have opportunities to assist 
with university branding discussions, focus groups, event planning and 
coordination, and recruitment strategizing.

We are looking for students from a variety of majors with excellent 
leadership, public speaking, communication, and customer service 
skills.  A complete position description and application are attached.  
Due to the in-depth training required, students with Freshman or 
Sophomore standing are preferred.

Applications are available online at http://admissions.wwu.edu/jobs. The 
deadline to submit application materials is Monday, February 3, ^2014 
  at 5pm, but we encourage students to apply as soon as possible. 
Students work approximately 3-8 hours per week during the academic year 
with opportunities to work more over breaks. General inquiries regarding
