Hey All - Helpful information! Please remember to be SAFE and BE SEEN - wear reflective bright clothing, and use a rear and front bike light.



Alternative Transportation Week Events:

Need a front or rear light for your bike?  Come to the Winter Bike Clinic and Group Ride!

When: November 3rd at 3:30pm

Where: VU 552

What: A short presentation about safe winter biking taught by two League of American Bicyclist Instructors,

a bike light giveaway, and a group ride from campus.  You will learn: tips for riding in the rain and in the dark, how to put your bike on the bus, how to make sure your bike is ready for a ride, and more!

Why: Because it's fun!  Cookies will be served



Do you want to learn how to fix your bike?  Join us at the Bike Maintenance Workshop!

When: November 4th at 6:00 pm

Where: Outdoors Center

What: A free workshop to learn how to do basic bike maintenance techniques. Space is limited so be sure to sign up at the Outdoors Center.

Why: So you can become a more independent bike rider and learn how to repair your own bike!


Looking for a good Movie to watch?  Watch Bikes vs. Cars!

When: November 5th at 6:30pm

Where: The Pickford

What: A movie depicting the global crisis that we know so little about; one that consumes our cities, our resources and our climate. Learn about the fight to leave the auto-centric world and create a more sustainable way of transportation. There will be a group ride to the Pickford leaving at 5:45 from the PAC

Why: To learn something new, be entertained, and support a local business

Price: $8:00 with student ID




You don't have to be a bike expert to attend these events.  Everyone is welcome!
