Members of the geology department at any level are invited to come socialize at McKay's Taphouse (1118 E Maple St) each Friday from 4:30 - ???. There are specials on pizza and beer until 6pm, and geologists under 21 are welcome to join but not drink.

Friday Social Hour is a great time for mingling between faculty, grad students and undergrads, and discussion of matters rock-related or not. Throughout last quarter we have had great turnout (especially among grad and undergrads) and hope to keep the tradition going.
