The application portal is now open for the UNAVCO Student Internship Program (USIP).  These are professional internships in which students (graduate and undergraduate) work as UNAVCO employees to help further our program objectives while learning about research and education at an NSF facility. These are open to upper-level undergraduates and/or graduate students. The deadline to submit your application is February 16, 2016.

InSAR Data Products Intern at UNAVCO, Boulder
The ECE Specialist-InSAR data products intern will assist with the development of Interferometric Synthetic Aperature Radar (InSAR) outreach materials for science exhibits and undergraduate courses. Information about Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Data at UNAVCO is available here: http://www.unavco.org/data/imaging/sar/sar.html.



The intern will:

  *   Download and process InSAR data for incorporation into outreach materials, science exhibits, and learning activities. Data may also include other geodesy data in a variety of formats.
  *   Manipulate data and images in software such as GIS (e.g. ArcGIS) and Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator
  *   Assist with integrating the data into outreach and educational materials
