Subject: Open Photography Workshop for all students

Hello all,

I am part of Western’s student chapter of the National Press Photographers Association. We are putting on a Manual Settings Workshop open to students of all majors on Wednesday, Oct. 26 in the Communications Facilities 202.

The workshop will be taught by Visual Journalism Professor Joe Gosen along side of several former photo editors of The Western Front, Klipsun Magazine and The Planet Magazine.

If you believe this workshop may be of any benefit to your students I would encourage you to forward this PDF flier to your students. Below is a brief blurb to forward along side of the PDF to explain the workshop.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

The Western Student Chapter of The National Press Photographers Association is holding a Manual Exposure Workshop on Wednesday, October 26 in the Communications Facilities room 202 at 4 p.m. This workshop will teach you the basics of shutter speed, aperture and ISO to help you better control light with your camera to create beautiful imagery.

The workshop will be taught by Visual Journalism Professor Joe Gosen along side with several former photo editors of The Western Front, Klipsun Magazine and The Planet Magazine. A limited number of NPPA member cameras may be available as teaching props. Please bring your own DSLR camera if possible or rent one from ATUS if you are interested.
