Please have a look at the email below- there is a very nice set of WWU-sponsored workshops and events for this year's Martin Luther King Day. While the holiday is this coming Monday (Jan 16), the workshops and event will be the following day (Tues, Jan 17)- so if you are interested, you are encouraged to attend.

Tuesday, Jan. 17, WWU is hosting the 3rd Annual WWU MLK Day Celebration Event.<https://westerntoday.wwu.edu/features/wwu-to-celebrate-legacy-of-martin-luther-king-jr-on-jan-17> The keynote event will be held in the Performing Arts Concert Hall and is free for all students, faculty and staff.

We are also pleased to announce the opportunity for an HR Professional Development Training workshop<http://training.wwu.edu/classes/classdetail.aspx?id=29754> with Nikkita Oliver as part of the MLK Event on Jan 17. Registration through HR is not required to attend, if you do not wish to receive official record of your training.  The workshop is located in VU 565 A/B and is offered from 1 - 2pm for staff and faculty and from 4 - 5pm for students.

Parking enforcement will be suspended in all lots from 6:30 - 10:30pm the night of the event, with the exception of load zones, disability and reserved spaces.
