Subject: SEG meeting today at 4PM!
Good afternoon,
SEG is meeting today @ 4pm in ES 223. We hope to see you there! We’ll have our merchandise ready-to-buy, will discuss a trip to Walker Valley, and other projects we have coming up this quarter.
Just a reminder from Andra's last SEG email:
Merchandise Sales: SEG has pint glasses & hats for sale this quarter! Be sure to get yours before we run out! Pint glasses will be $10 and hats will be $15. Hats are available in olive and charcoal. I’ve included images of each. Funds earned from merchandise sales will be used for future club adventures and professional development. Merchandise sales were a big reason we were able to bring a large group of geology students to the Association for Mineral Exploration’s 2018 Roundup and the Britannia Mine Museum in Squamish, BC for a private mine tour. Merchandise will be sold at the following times (look for us inside or just outside the Bressler Room in the lobby):
· Monday, April 30 th 11am-1pm
· Wednesday, May 2 nd 2pm-4pm
Happy Hour: Happy hour will be held at 5:00pm this Friday (4/27) at Culture Café / Kombucha Town (210 E Chestnut St). Everyone is welcome (all-ages)! There is a plethora of beer events following since it is Bellingham Beer Week!
Alumni Weekend: If you are a student interested in helping out at the Alumni Weekend Geology event (Pete sent an email with more info about this event last week) please email Paul Thomas ( paul.thomas at wwu.edu<mailto:paul.thomas at wwu.edu> )! This event will be a very awesome networking opportunity and in preparation for it, the three geology clubs will be hosting a networking presentation/workshop and pre-event volunteer meeting. More details to come!
