Greetings fellow geoscientists,
I am writing to inform you that the hydrogeology field course offered by the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences at Western Michigan University, one of very few hydro-technical programs in the United States, is now accepting your applications for 2018. This applied course has trained myriad students from around the nation and abroad. The hydrogeology field course teaches the following skills: aquifer testing, environmental surface geophysics, groundwater sampling and monitoring, OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER, remediation and contaminant hydrogeology and well drilling and installation.
Due to increasing demand, the Department of Geosciences will be offering the Hydrogeology Field Course twice during the summer of 2018:
* Session I: May 7 to June 15
* Session II: July 9 to Aug. 17
2018 APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Registration<https://wmich.edu/geology/hfc-registration> for both sessions will remain open until April 15, 2018. The course usually fills up quickly so the earlier you complete your registration, the better chance you will have of securing a spot in the course. Enrollment is limited to qualified applicants with preference to those whom apply first and/or apply for multiple weeks. The cost of the WMU hydrogeology field course is the same for in-state and out-of-state participants. All registration materials must be received no later than April 15, 2018.
Please contact Tom Howe at thomas.r.howe at wmich.edu<mailto:thomas.r.howe at wmich.edu> if you have any questions regarding enrollment or visit our website: https://wmich.edu/geology/academics/hydrogeology-field-course
Sincerely,
Tom Howe
