[Geoldept] SEG Britannia Mine Trip

Good afternoon,

SEG is currently in the planning stages of a trip up to Britannia Mine in Vancouver, British Columbia during the weekend of March 30th. In order to reserve a private group tour, we will need a minimum of 15 attendees. While we hope to arrange camping accommodations in order to stay over in that area the night of the tour date we choose, camping is not required and carpool accommodations will be made.

The cost per student attendee will be $33.75 and cost per non-student attendee is $36.50. We will be discussing how cost will be covered by the club and hope to fully cover the trip for student attendees with funds raised from merchandise sales this quarter. Camping costs have not been calculated as of yet.

If you are interested in attending, please respond with the following:


1.       Date preference (Friday 3/30, Saturday 3/31, or Sunday 4/1). These dates take place during the tail end of Spring Break and before the start of Spring Quarter.

2.       Whether you intend to come for the day tour only or would like to join in on the camping portion.

3.       Whether you have a car to offer up for the carpool.

4.       Any topics you'd like to see specifically covered in our tour.

*Please note, this excursion requires you to have an enhanced driver's license or a passport. We apologize for any inconvenience, and if you do not meet this requirement, please stay tuned for domestic excursions Spring Quarter!*
