Graduate and undergraduate students in geology,
Are you interested in getting paid for geology outreach and education? Linda Henning from Salmonberry School in Eastsound, Orcas Island, is looking for a student to give a guided tour of the Lime Quarry in Concrete for 1st to 3rd graders. The tour will be on either April 27 or May 4 (tbd). This trip is a great opportunity to teach geology to young students by discussing the following questions:
What are rocks and minerals?
How do they form?
How do rocks change?
What stories can rocks tell us about western Washington?
If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Jeremy Rosen at rosenj3 at wwu.edu<mailto:rosenj3 at wwu.edu>.
Thanks,
Jeremy
