Greetings geology department,

The AEG club will be starting off the spring quarter this Wednesday at 5:00 pm with the first of our weekly meetings. This week we are joined by guest speaker Nicole Tanner, who will be talking about her experience in the geothermal industry. Nicole is an alumna of UC Davis and University of Leeds and Geologist in Training (GIT). Nicole began her career as a geophysicist for a small consulting firm based in Redmond, WA after some post-graduate work in geophysical characterization of a geothermal system in northeastern California through UC Davis. She then worked in the environmental consulting industry in the greater Puget Sound area before beginning work as a geoscientist for Cyrq Energy, a geothermal utility company whose resource office is based in Seattle, WA.
