Subject: Summer jobs for grad students/advanced undergrads interested in mineral exploration
Hi Kate,
Could you distribute this to the department? I recently took a full time job at Ambler Metals in Anchorage and we are looking for geologists to join our team for the summer. It would be great to see WWU students or recent grads in our applicant pool!
Thanks, Kirsten

Looking to learn about the mineral exploration industry and spend a summer in a beautiful and remote part of Alaska?
Ambler Metals is conducting summer fieldwork in the polymetallic Ambler VMS belt of the Brooks Range in Alaska and is looking for bright, responsible, and team-oriented geologists to join our team as Core Loggers and in the field. Work will be based at our remote Bornite Camp and the season is expected to run approximately June 1 - Sept 1 with a 20 days on/10 days off rotation schedule in and out of Fairbanks. Accommodation around start dates due to school scheduling is possible. Due to Covid-19 protocols, preference will be given to folks who are Alaska-based or can remain in Alaska for the duration of the work season.

We hope to begin interviews in the next two weeks. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
