[Geoldept] Geotechnical Drilling on campus

Geo Test Services Inc. will be drilling cores today above the Arboretum Parking lot as part of the site investigation for the new "House of Healing" Native American longhouse structure. Cass Dimitroff a WWU MS alum will be at the drilling site.

On Thursday Oct 6, they will be drilling the East College Way landslide (behind Miller Hall) in support of a new retaining wall design to widen the roadway.

Kurt Parker, the Geotechnical Manager (and WWU alum) for Geo Test Services Inc. would be pleased to have WWU geology students and faculty attend some of the field work, and eventually observe the construction of the wall.
