I hope everyone had an enjoyable Spring Break! AEG Student night will be on April 27th! If you are interested in presenting your research, feel free to email a preliminary presentation proposal to secretary at aegpugetsound.org<mailto:secretary at aegpugetsound.org> by March 30th to gauge interest. Timeline and dates displayed below. Feel free to apply whether you are an undergrad, or grad student. You can also email me if you are interested as well! More information will be sent soon. More information on other AEG Puget Sound events coming up is provided in the linked newsletter as well.

Call for Presentations: The Puget Sound Chapter of the Association of Engineering and Environmental Geologist invites current students and recent graduates to present their work at our April 27meeting.As before the pandemic, this annual event provides a venue for students and practicing professional geologists to meet and share their work.
Format*:The format will focus on posters with short oral presentations to introduce student work.
Focus: While AEG's focus is engineering and environmental geology, presentations in any area of the earth sciences are welcome.
Venue: The event will be held at Art Marble 21 in the South Lake Union district of Seattle.The meeting will include a buffet dinner and social hour prior to the presentations.The evening will be free of charge for student presenters and $5 for student non-presenters.
Awards: Cash prizes will include $100 for the attendee-voted best presentation with $50 prizes to the two runner-ups.
Key Dates:
* March 30, 2023, Expression of Interest: If you are interested in presenting, please email a preliminary presentation proposal to secretary at aegpugetsound.org<mailto:secretary at aegpugetsound.org>. This expression of interest is non-binding and not required for later submission. Its purpose is to gauge level of interest.
* April 10, 2023, Proposals: Proposals for Presentations Due
* April 26, 2023: Upload powerpoints for oral presentations.
