To College Of Environment,

Scientists in Parks<http://gsoa.informz.net/z/cjUucD9taT0xMTM2MjYwMiZwPTEmdT0xMTg1ODg3MTk0JmxpPTEwNjM1MTYzOA/index.html> is recruiting for ten National Park Service (NPS) Scientists in Parks (SIP) Intern opportunities in Alaska, taking place during summer 2024. (A list of these opportunities may be found below.)

The goal of the SIP program is to provide immersive, paid work experiences in natural resource fields so the next generation of park stewards-especially those underrepresented in science-have a unique opportunity to work on important real-world projects while building professional experience and a life-long connection to America's national parks.

Although the program recruits nationally, in many cases a knowledge of the local area, or an ability to find local housing, can be a big plus. Many of the SIP Intern sites in Alaska have expressed an interest in working with students and recent graduates from universities within the state and the surrounding areas. Please pass this information on to anyone who may be interested.

Application deadline: Sun., 21 Jan. 2024
