The GeoPEERS REU at Penn State is now accepting applications for Summer 2023. The goal of this program is to help participants develop the skills to study natural resource exploration and development, environmental science, environmental justice, climate change, and sustainable development as one integrated system. Each participant will have their own individual research project and mentor, and will participate in weekly group discussions, readings, activities, and field trips. Participants will be provided with on-campus housing, a meal plan, and stipend of $600 / week, as well as travel to and from University Park, PA. The Summer 2023 program will run June 5 - July 28. Participants will also have an opportunity to present their research at a national conference in Fall 2023.
