Please share this email with students who are interested in integrating field observations with microstructural analyses and geochronology.

There is an opportunity for a student to pursue an MS in Geology at the University of Vermont (UVM) in the Department of Geography and Geosciences as part of a project "Collaborative Research: How have orogenesis, rifting, and recent mantle dynamics shaped the lithosphere beneath the New England Appalachians?" The project is funded by the National Science Foundation (Geophysics and Tectonics programs) and is collaborative between geophysicists at Yale and Rutgers, and geologists at Williams College and UVM. The student will be supported in their first year by a graduate teaching assistantship and in the second year by a graduate research assistantship (GRA). Summer GRA support is also included.
