We’re excited to see you at the End of Year Geology Bake Off and Dept Celebration on June 1st! Join us for free pizza, delicious baked desserts, and good times! 😎

Everyone is welcome, and we’re especially looking forward to celebrating our graduating seniors and grad students!

We are excited to announce the...



 🎓🧁🎉 Second Annual Geology Bake Off and End-of-Year Department Celebration! 🎓🧁🎉



The event will be held on Thursday, June 1st starting at 4pm on the Communications Lawn (south of the ES building). This is a department-wide picnic-style event celebrating the end of the year and our summer 2022-spring 2023 graduating students!

Come enjoy the bake-off competition, lawn games, and pizza! Gluten free and vegan pizza options will be available, but only pizza will be provided, so feel free to bring other food. You are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and/or lawn chairs, and you are welcome to bring your own lawn games as well. Our end-of-year department awards will also be announced at this event, so come celebrate your colleagues and friends!



This event is open to all geology and geophysics undergrads, grads, faculty, staff, partners and families!





2nd Annual Geology Bake Off

it's time to dig out your favorite sweet treat recipes! We're looking for your best rocky road cookies, molten lava cakes, and layered sedimentary mousse. And, obviously, we love geology-themed entries! There will be a prize for the winner of the Great Geology Bake Off. 🏆



The rules:

  *   Add the item you will be entering to this Google spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LE063l5qJ6C8zJ_Cq7ffhwlQMOTm0ZZLOF6v84dCdVA/edit?usp=share_link
  *   All variations of recipes are welcome - gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free options are absolutely welcome!
  *   All entries must be accompanied by a list of ingredients written on a piece of paper and submitted along with the item.
  *   Drop off your baked goods in ES 102 prior to the event or bring them to the Communications Lawn at 3:45 pm.
