[Geoldept] BS Students - GEOL 409/410 Spring Field Meeting and Questionnaire

This email is for B.S. students who are considering enrolling in GEOL 409/410 Spring Field Camp in Spring Quarter 2024. Colin and I are  hosting the first of several meetings throughout the year to inform and prepare the group for the course this coming spring - when we'll explore Cordilleran geology in amazing locations that include the San Francisco Bay area, Yosemite, the Mojave Desert, Death Valley, and the Eastern Sierran Nevada.

The first Spring Field information meeting will be next Tues Nov. 28th from 4-5PM in ES 213. All students planning to attend GEOL 409/410 Spring Field Camp should attend this meeting.  We will have two additional mandatory meetings in Winter quarter to prepare for Spring Field. There will also be a broader meeting regarding Spring and Summer Field and Lab Camp options on Dec. 1st.

Also, if you plan to register for Spring Field this year and haven't done so already, fill out the attached questionnaire below and email it to Sean Mulcahy (mulcahs at wwu.edu<mailto:mulcahs at wwu.edu>). The purpose of the questionnaire is to inform Colin and I on how many students plan to enroll in the course this spring, the pre-reqs completed and still needed for those students to help with advising during Winter registration, and to gauge the needs of interested students so that we can accommodate all abilities as needed.
