[Geoldept] AEG Student Chapter meeting Wednesday 4/10 @5pm ES213

Hello everyone,

We will have our first AEG Student Chapter meeting this Wednesday at 5pm in ES213. Our meeting will cover plans for this quarter, the AEG student night in Marblemount Seattle on Thursday 4/18, and other topics. I have included more information about student night below from an email I got yesterday. This includes registration and other info as well. If you are interested in attending student night, please submit by April 15th or sooner.

We look forward to seeing you guys for our first meeting of Spring quarter!

Of particular interest:

  *   Registration for our April 18 annual student night is open: https://bpt.me/6286685

Many job announcements
  *   We will take more submissions up to Monday April 15 but the sooner the better for our planning
  *   It's fine to recycle existing posters e.g. from AGU
  *   We can support reasonable poster printing costs if it's not available from your department
  *   We'll open at 5 on the 18th for set up and we will provide mounting materials
  *   All areas of earth sciences are welcome - not just engineering and environmental geology.  The first place winner last year was on extraterrestrial geology.
  *   Submissions should be emailed to aegpugetsound at gmail.com<mailto:aegpugetsound at gmail.com>
  *   Registration including dinner is free for presenters and $5 for student non-presenters

Openings are still available for student presentations - reply with title proposals  and one paragraph descriptions.
