Hi everyone,

Welcome to spring quarter!

Please read through the following department policies - these will allow us to retain the privileges of using the rooms and Geology break room/kitchen.

ROOMS
-The computer lab, ES 230, should be locked at all times if there is no one in the room; if you are the last person to leave, please remember to lock the door behind you even during business hours.
-No food or beverages allowed in the computer lab.
-After business hours, lock all doors (especially 2nd floor classrooms and labs).

KITCHEN (ES 246)
-Please return any utensils and dishes taken from the Geology breakroom.
-if you are using the kitchen, please make sure to clean up after yourself.
-The fridge is cleaned out every Monday; please label and date your food or take your food with you if you don't want it to be thrown away.

DATES AND DEADLINES
-Registration for summer quarter begins on May 7, and registration for fall quarter begins May 14<https://registrar.wwu.edu/registration-deadline-calendar>. Please meet with your faculty advisor before registration begins to discuss any questions you have about your plan of study.
-For undergraduate students planning to graduate in Spring 2024, please email me to get your Geology Degree Evaluation before the final application deadline on May 10. For summer 2024 graduates, please email me by the July 19th final deadline.

Geology Spring Quarter Office Hours: The Geology Department Office is in ES 240. The office hours will be posted on the Geology Department Website<https://geology.wwu.edu/> when finalized.

Undergraduate Mail Boxes
-Undergraduate mailboxes for geology majors are located on the east end of the building by ES 213. Returning students: please check your mailbox for old class assignments. All mailboxes will be cleared out at the end of the quarter, so please make sure to claim your mail before then.
