Undergraduate and graduate students:
There will be an informational meeting about WWU’s AEG Student Chapter and how you can get involved on TODAY at 4:00 pm in ES213.
Professional development and networking are an important part of growth as a student at WWU and is the primary objective of the AEG Student Chapter.
The Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists (AEG) is an international organization of professional and academic geologists, geology teachers, and students. STUDENT MEMBERSHIP IS FREE! http://www.aegweb.org/
WWU is one of about 30 student chapters in the USA
During the year the AEG Student Chapter will have meetings that will include guest speakers to address topics like:

scholarship application
*
resume development
*
guest speakers sharing regional case studies involving applied geology
Other agenda items will include:
*
travelling to AEG Meetings in Seattle (the first one is next Thursday Nov 14)
*
applying and studying for the ASBOG Fundamentals of Geology Exam
*
organizing research topics for student presentations at the AEG Student Night in Seattle.
