Hi Folks. We’re looking forward to the conversations we have planned for today.

Agenda:

  2.  A real-time anonymous poll:

        *   What topics or concerns does "DEI work in 2025" bring to mind, especially as it relates to our Department?
        *   Any thoughts to share or requests for subjects of conversation?
        *   brief group conversation about the outcomes of the poll

  2.  Breakout groups:

     *   [led by Camilo] The legality of DEI work - what are the laws? How does the language of "illegal DEI" work square with the laws and the work we're actually doing?

     *   [led by Allison] How to be an ally to non-citizen (and especially undocumented) folks in the University. How do we support immigrant students and what is the situation with ICE on campus? Possible outcome: a draft response plan for the department in the (unlikely) situation ICE agents enter the building.
