Hello!
It is that time of the year again - time for field scholarship applications!

Each year the Tobacco Root Geological Society (TRGS) awards scholarships up to $1200 for field-based geological research. Applications are accepted from undergraduate and graduate students, as well as from researchers and explorers. Please read the application requirements carefully at the TRGS scholarship website<https://www.trgs.org/apply-for-scholarships>. Applications that do not meet the requirements will not be accepted.

Submit your application to Kelsay Stanton, Committee Chair at kelsaystanton at gmail.com<mailto:kelsaystanton at gmail.com> by February 15, 2025. Applications are evaluated on 1) clarity of writing, 2) relevancy of the work, and 3) that there is a field component. Applicants are generally informed if they received an award by mid-to-late March.

Please share this message with your students or any collaborators/colleagues. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions!
cheers,

--
