Hiya, geofolk!

Welcome to winter quarter! I hope everyone has had a restful start to this season. My name is Olivia, and I am the president of Diversity in Geology (DIG), our geology department's social club. I am super excited to start DIG meetings back up and would love some input from those interested in attending meetings about good times for people to stop by. I have attached a small survey to get a gauge of this: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdo1qq_UwM_1QtZG9A63K95KCg1VqeoBArE43VtTZEOL6zpeg/viewform?usp=header

Additionally, DIG is looking for leadership involvement from students! The department gear bank, which lends out field and camping gear to geology students for field work, needs a new manager starting spring quarter. We also need new club officers to keep DIG going in the future! This is a wonderful opportunity to be engaged within the department community, add leadership experience to your resume, and connect with your peers who are equally as jazzed about pretty, pretty rocks.

If you are interested in any of the above, even if you are just starting out in the geology program, please reach out to me (ernsto at wwu.edu) or our lovely vice president Rosie (vanac at wwu.edu).

Thank you!
Olivia
