On Thursday, April 12th the Shakedown in downtown Bellingham is sponsoring a Yuri's Night party, featuring live music by the aptly-named Space Band, a talk by WWU Mars Scientist Dr. Melissa Rice, Russian dance music by DJ Amante, and a space trivia contest by Casey Dreier of the global nonprofit The Planetary Society.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students. 21+.

Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. More info: https://www.shakedownbellingham.com/event/1672053-yuris-night-spaceband-bellingham/

This will be a very fun event and very accessible for everyone. Bring a friend (or two!).

About the band:

SpaceBand is a cover band that focuses on R&B/Hip-hop hits from the 90's as well as the current, chart-topping dance tunes. To round out their repertoire, SpaceBand tastefully sprinkles in some classic rock, funk, and Motown. Phil Carter on drums and Aeden Hunter on bass provide the solid, funky foundation on which a temple of soul is built with Brian Hillman's powerful vocals leading the way. Charlie Elmore's rhythm guitar permeates with warm splendor and Baron Kim's funky riffs and face-melting solos grab hold of you in a way you can't shake. Every gig is a party with the seats emptied and the dance floor packed.

SpaceBand has consistently played well-attended shows throughout the Pacific Northwest since 2002. Although they usually provide an entire night of music, SpaceBand has performed opening sets for numerous national touring acts. Whether it's at a club, private party, or wedding, SpaceBand is sure to keep the good times rollin' and will please even the toughest critics.

If you need to party, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can see.....the SpaceBand.
