[Geoldept] New Elective - Advanced Paleobiology - for Winter 2019!

Hi everybody!


I will be teaching a new elective course this winter quarter: GEOL 497Q/597Q - Advanced Paleobiology


The course will follow up on themes and ideas explored in GEOL 316: Paleontology, but we will be taking a more quantitative/analytical approach and learning more advanced research methods. In particular, you will learn how to access fossil occurrence and stratigraphic data from the Paleobiology and Macrostrat Databases and analyze those data using the programming language R.
