This email is for Geology Department Undergraduate Students.

Liz Schermer, new M.S. student Emily Gates, and I are looking for two students to assist with structural mapping of subduction zone metamorphic rocks in the Cascade foothills this summer. We will map complexly deformed and metamorphosed rocks, take detailed structural measurements, and collect samples to test models for early subduction zone processes. The work can also form the basis for senior theses for students enrolled in 2021-2022.

We have funds to support two students at $15/hr for up to 170 hours each this summer. Please read the attached description, preferred qualifications, and application. Contact Liz or I for more information and submit the application to us via email by May 15th.
