Please apply to take the ASBOG<https://www.asbog.org/> Fundamentals of Geology Exam (FE). Washington State and 31 other states require licensing to practice as a professional geologist.   The first step toward licensure is passing the ASBOG FE.  The next FE in Washington is scheduled for March 18, 2022 llocation TBD). Preparing for the exam will be so much easier while you are still a student because the subject matter will be fresh, and we have study guides (REG Review) available in the department and the AEG Student Chapter typically organizes a study group. Application procedures can be found in the link below. Please read them carefully. If you took a course this fall that is part of the educational requirement, wait until your grades have been recorded before having the registrar mail a transcript to the Geologist Licensing Board.
