Dear colleagues,



I’m writing to advertise an open fully-funded PhD position working in the high temperature experimental geochemistry group in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (EAS) at Cornell University. The PhD student will work on an NSF-funded project to develop new geochemical tools that can be applied to natural samples to quantify the timescales of rapid volcanic events. The project will involve mostly lab work, including designing and executing high temperature experiments and analysis of run products using LA-ICP-MS/MS, MC-ICPMS and SIMS.
