Hi Geo Majors,

We have two openings for undergraduate researchers in the Fluvial Geomorphology Group for Summer 2023 (with opportunities to do a bit of Independent Study in the spring or continue an associated research project next school year). The summer positions are paid, 30-40 hour/week positions for 10-12 weeks during the summer.

You would be working with MS student Brian Pinke on an NSF-funded project aimed at understanding the variability in the sediment size, strength, and density of volcanic mass wasting deposits between sites in the Pacific Northwest, with implications for downstream river hazards.

See the position description and application, attached. To apply, please fill out the application and email it to both me and Brian by Feb 6th.

Take care,

Allison
