Geology faculty, staff, and students:
SciTech is hosting an open house in Bond Hall this afternoon (with free cookies and coffee)! In addition to managing our two SEM instruments, SciTech manages several other instruments that could be useful for your research. One of these is the new Raman microscope that Liz, Emily Gates, and I have used to develop a thermometer for carbonaceous material that spans 150-600 C and that we're now applying to test models for the tectonic history of the Northwest Cascades. Stop by and check out our poster if you're near Bond between 2-4PM today.
