[Geoldept] Did you know there's a Gear Bank?

Happy second Friday of Spring Quarter everyone!

Allow me to introduce myself: my name is Corvus Fisher, and I'm the new manager of the Geology Department's Gear Bank! I am here in your inbox to advertise the variety of hiking and camping supplies and wares that are available to you (yes, you!) as part of the Geology Department here at Western!

Currently, we have almost everything you could want or need for comfortable outdoors expeditions (such as field camp and class trips): boots, shoes, tents, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, jacket shells, fleece liners, backpacks, even some cutlery sets! The only things we don't carry are the rugged preparedness necessary for braving the outdoors (more on that later).

That said, these are used items and your experiences, wants, and needs may vary, so in order to make sure you are absolutely ready and set to go, I'd recommend emailing me (fishero at wwu.edu<mailto:fishero at wwu.edu>) and we can set up a window-shopping expedition down in the ES basement where all the gear is currently located. I'll do my best to work around and accommodate your schedule, but keep in mind I am also an undergrad (like most of you) and as the quarter progresses, I'll have less and less available time to work with, so if you're at all interested in perusing, I'd recommend getting in touch ASAP!
