Greetings Fans of NA Cordillera tectonics,

Our speakers next Monday (April 21, 11 a.m. PDT) are Dr. Sean Mulcahy, Western Washington University, and Proto-Dr. Jordan Wang, University of AZ.
   They work on opposite sides of the USA - Canada border on similarly complex rock units often referred to as accretionary complexes.

Sean’s title: "Early Jurassic subduction initiation recorded in the Easton metamorphic suite, Northwest Cascades (Washington, USA)”.

Jordan’s title:  "Structural Geology and Geochronology of the Bridge River-Shulaps Culmination, southern British Columbia”

Some of the units in these two areas have historically been correlated along strike so I look forward to hearing whether these new data support those interpretations. Please join us for the talks and discussion!
